i have tried this.
Disabled avast from running - but no difference (also added exception) -no mention in the logs of problem.
No messanger program, xfire not running.

Narrowed the 'problem' down to
KPZ Mod v0.95B (CDS client optional) - OK
Monkey CDS v1.52b (CDS client required ) - Kicked
Tourney Mod v1.3a (CDS client required ) - Kicked
Curse 2.9 (CDS client required ) - Kicked
....

I reinstalled CDS/mmclient client from fresh download, its was the same version and size.
Checked gamespy config and it uses the correct path:
C:\Program Files\Kingpin\mmclient.exe

I tried stopping some services - but no result.
this is all on my venerable Win2k OS. I 'll try my other comp a bit later which has winxp.
