In my process of working on the kpediting site I realized one of the most difficult parts was getting started coding a mod. Back in the day the only real option was Visual Studio 6 which wasnt cheap. The other options were much more complicated.
Microsoft has released Visual C++ Express Edition 2008 for free and it allows anyone to get started coding but the KP SDK was designed for the old style of C coding. I spent some time and converted it over. It should be very easy now to just download the source I have created and get started on your first mod!
